One of the best places I’ve found for discovering new music is AOL Music and it’s indie-oriented sister site, Spinner. Both sites offer a wide range of music news, streaming music and special programming.
My favorite offering that they have is their “Listening Station,” which allows you to stream a number of newly released albums every week. Some weeks there aren’t a whole lot of releases, and as a result AOL/Spinner’s offerings are kind of slim. Other times, however, like this week, there’s a ton of interesting new albums to listen to.
Check out the best (IMO) of this week’s “Listening Station” at Spinner:
Smashing Pumpkins, Zeitgeist
Interpol, Our Love to Admire
Spoon, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
Bad Religion, New Maps of Hell
Nick Drake, Family Tree
Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova!, Once Soundtrack
Fionn Regan, The End of History
They Might Be Giants, The Else
